I have the honour to forward a copy of cer- tain paragraphe from an affidavit made by a Dr. August Geeton regarding his arrest on the high seas by H. M. S. "Laurentic" while travelling in the S. 8. "China" in 1916.

I should be glad of any remarks that you may

wish to make.

In the nominal roll of enemy subjects who were taken from the S. S. "China" the name Gaston does not appear, and there is reason to believe that this Dr. Gaston is identical with a man who travelled under the name August
